The training course will bring 35 youth workers for a 7-day training course “Mental health and sex education – where to start working with youth?” to Lithuania from EU member states and other Erasmus partner countries.
- Dates: 8th of March (arrival day) – 15th of March (departure day), 2023
- Venue: Training center “Daugirdiškės” (www.daugirdiskes.lt), Lithuania (50 km away from the capital of Lithuania, Vilnius)
Financial conditions:
- there is no participants fee;
- participants travel will be reimbursed based on Erasmus+ funding rules;
- accommodation and meals will be covered by the project funding.
Participants profile:
- from 18 to 99 years old;
- directly working with youth;
- able to communicate in English;
- able to participate the whole duration of the training course.
The training course project aims to provide basic competencies for youth workers needed working with mental health and sexual education topics with young people.
Objectives of the training course:
- to explore the topics of mental health and sex education;
- explore non-formal education tools and methods and publication that could be used working with the topics of mental health and sex education;
- learn from case analysis how to notice red flags, deal with challenging situations and assure proper child protection and safety;
- discuss future international cooperation opportunities in the framework of Erasmus + program.
Preliminary program of the training course:
- introduction to the training course, building the learning group and learning atmosphere, Youth pass, introduction to the topic of youth work, principles of youth work (Day 1);
- youth age psychology and sociology (Day 2);
- working with young people individually and groups – different types of interventions (Day 2);
- red flags working with youth and algorithms how to solve main issues young people face (Day 3);
- free afternoon in Vilnius (Day 3);
- exploring mental health of young people, exploring practical methods, tips and tricks (Day 4);
- exploring of sex education of young people, exploring practical methods, tips and tricks (Day 5);
- child projection and safety, risk assessment (Day 6);
- mobility projects – how it can support daily youth work activities (Day 6);
- dissemination of results and evaluation, Youth pass certificate (Day 6).
